Welcome Back Bloomers!
Did you know Carnival Cruise is one of the most popular cruise lines in the world? It’s because they offer passengers a wide range of amenities and activities aboard their ships. As many of you know Marcus and I recently took our very first Carnival Cruise. We did a 7 day adventure and sailed to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. Talk about an amazing destination choice. Therefore, it is only right that we give you all our review. While there are many advantages to a Carnival Cruise, there can be a few drawbacks to consider. In this blog post, we will explore the pros and cons of a Carnival Cruise, helping you to decide if it’s the right choice for your next vacation.

Pros:
1. Affordable Prices:
Carnival Cruise is known for offering some of the most affordable cruise prices in the industry. This makes it an attractive option for families and budget-conscious travelers who want to enjoy a luxurious vacation without breaking the bank. With that being said, Carnival has an alcoholic drink package. This package is about $60 per person. If you opt to not purchase the drink package, the drinks start at $11+. and pitchers are $34+ which makes about 5 glasses.
2. Wide Range of Onboard Activities:
Carnival Cruise ships are packed with activities and entertainment options, including water parks, mini-golf courses, casinos, live shows, and more. Our favorite was the comedy show and dive in movies. There is something for everyone, no matter their age or interests.
3. Excellent Food and Dining Options:
Carnival Cruise offers a variety of dining options, from formal dining rooms to casual buffets and specialty restaurants. The food is delicious and there are plenty of options for vegetarians and those with dietary restrictions. There were so many options and we ate ourselves every day into a food coma. From BBQ to burgers, sushi, seafood and Mexican, you name it they had it.
4. Great for Families:
Carnival Cruise is a family-friendly cruise line, offering a variety of activities and programs for children of all ages. There also have family scavenger hunts, trivia nights, and dive in movies. From waterslides to kids’ clubs, parents can rest assured that their kids will be entertained and safe while onboard.

Cons:
1. Crowded Ships:
Carnival Cruise ships can be quite crowded, especially during peak travel times. This means longer lines for activities and dining, and less personal space in public areas. Consider booking January-March or late fall to avoid the crowd.
2. Party Atmosphere:
Carnival Cruise is known for its party atmosphere, with a lot of drinking and late-night revelry taking place onboard. This may not be a good fit for travelers who prefer a quieter, more relaxed vacation.
3. Limited Itineraries:
Carnival Cruise primarily operates in the Caribbean and Mexico, with limited options for other destinations. This may not be the best choice for travelers who are looking to explore more unique or off-the-beaten-path locations.
4. Extra Fees:
While the initial price of a Carnival Cruise may be affordable, passengers should be aware of the extra fees that can add up quickly. These fees may include gratuities, alcoholic beverages, shore excursions, and more. Depending on the ports you can enjoy an excursion for $134 per person or lower. Alcoholic beverages range from $11-13 or pitchers for $34-36.

Carnival Cruise is a popular cruise line that offers a lot of value for its affordable prices. While there are some potential drawbacks to consider, such as crowded ships and a party atmosphere, there are also many benefits, including a wide range of onboard activities, excellent dining options, and family-friendly programs. Ultimately, the decision to book a Carnival Cruise will depend on your personal preferences and travel goals. By considering the pros and cons outlined above, you can make an informed decision and enjoy the ultimate onboard experience. Don’t forget to reach out to me to book all your travel needs.
