I am back today with another Whipping It Up with Dreux recipe. This is one of my favorite meal preps. I typically change up the protein to keep it from getting boring. If you are anything like me and dislike eating the same thing over and over this is a recipe for you. You can use this recipe with Italian sausage, shrimp, or chicken. So lets get into the good stuff.
Ingredients
1lb Hillshire Farm Polska Kielbasa Turkey Sausage
Kroger Steamable Italian Green Beans
1 can Diced Fire Roasted Tomatoes (Contadina or Hunts brand)
Jasmine Rice
1/2 Onion
1/2 Green Bell Pepper
1 Tsp Black Pepper
Garlic Powder (to taste)
Sea Salt (to taste)
1 Tbsp Basil
Directions
Sauté onion and bell pepper until softened. Next, pan fry turkey sausage until lightly browned 4-5 minutes in same pan with onion and bell pepper. Add can of tomatoes and spices and herbs. Cook for 10-12 minutes. Serve over rice with green beans on the side.
