I am back with another delicious recipe you and your partner will love. If you love pasta dishes and enjoy a little spiced this is a must try recipe. This was my first time making this dish and Marcus had two or three bowls but who is counting haha. I will admit I have a love for making pasta and homemade sauces. Nothing beats some fresh ingredients. Am I right? One of our good friends recently went back to Louisiana and was able to pick us up some Krazy Cajun Sausage. This was just what we needed for our Cajun Pasta. So let’s dive in.
Ingredients
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 lb Farfalle
1/2 lb Gulf Shrimp
1/2 lb Krazy Cajun Sausage
5 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp Minced Garlic
1 pint Heavy Cream
1 medium Onion
1/3 cup Shredded Fresh Parmesan
Fresh Rosemary & Thyme
1 tbsp Chopped Chives
Seasoning Mixture
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp sage
1/2 tsp cayenne
1 tsp garlic pepper
Tony Chachere’s to taste
Directions
1. Cook farfalle, then drain and set aside.
2. Cut shrimp in halves and slice sausage. Lightly season shrimp with Tony Chachere.
3. Add 2 tbsp butter to pan, toss in onion, garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Cook until onion is tender over medium heat.
4. Next, add shrimp and sausage. Stir occasionally to ensure cooked evenly. Cook for 8 minutes.
5. Now add the remaining butter and heavy cream. Add seasoning mixture. Stir and bring to boil.
6. Reduce heat to medium low and place lid on pan.
7. Allow to simmer, stirring occasionally for approximately 8 minutes.
8. Then, remove lid, stir and add pasta to the pan.
9. Toss pasta in the pan, evenly coating in sauce. Allow to cook for 4 minutes.
10. Sprinkle shredded Parmesan on top, stir until cheese is melted. Top with chives and serve.
